A few days ago, I flew American Airlines' Boeing 777-200ER business class on the nine hour flight from London (LHR) to Miami (MIA). This is the same trip where I had flown TAP Air Portugal's Airbus A330-900neo business class in the other direction across the Atlantic. While I'll have a full trip report soon, in this post I wanted to share some initial impressions of the experience.

My flight was operated by a 19-year-old Boeing 777-200 that had recently been refurbished to include the premium-economy cabin. It seats 24 passengers over three rows in a 2-4-2 layout, and the seats were 19 inches wide with a pitch of 38 inches between them.

The American Airlines Boeing 777-200ER seats in the Main Cabin are numbered from A to H, with the A and F seats being close to the windows and the B and E seats being close to the aisle. The aisle is seen from the C and D seats, which are in the middle of the cabin. According to the seat map, the aisle seats in rows 21 and 23 are a good choice.
